  lol at the laptop & coffee bit too. :) It made me wonder if anyone here has printed out the WT comments from here and had those to follow along with the WTstudy. I can only imagine how difficult it would be to do and not blow a gasket!

  par 17: another example of valueless words is found among the religious leaders of christendom.

  these claim to speak in god's name, but most of their utterances are not based on the scriptures, and what they have to say is basically worthless.

  There was one last night about discovering the real Jesus or somesuch. While nearly all portraits of Jesus show him as light skinned and thin faced, this programme came to the conclusion that he was more round faced and dark skinned and with short hair. They did a clay recreation of "his" face and while this was in progress I thought damn, he looks just like Shrek! Well, he kinda did only not green.

  Went to the Memorial Last Night

  the hall i went to had some guy from bethel who literally sounded like a 12-year-old giving the talk.

  all i could think about was v's video about the memorial and how it's nothing but an infomercial for jehovah's witnesses.

  i realized why the memorial is "so important" to jehovah's witnesses: it's their biggest recruiting day of the year!

  i have been watching the new bbc production of the passion this easter week.

  very good it is too, i think, and its interesting that for the biggest, most expensive star they had in the cast, they gave him the role of pilate, not jesus.

  Some show or other I saw had the nails/spikes through a piece of wood so that the effect was like a washer that would keep the hands from dislodging. Lots of variations on a theme have been depicted.

  I think the bidding is generally fair but there are sellers that don't play by the rules. It's happened to me before. Seller yanks the listing minutes before it ends because he doesn't want to "sell it for pennies on the dollar". All sorts of stuff but I've bought many, many things off ebay with only a couple of bad speriences.
  
  Sellers are not "supposed" to bid on their own items but if there is a way to cheat the system it will be done. If they just don't want to let it go for under x price then they usually set a reserve price.
